David Brager — Citizens Business Bank
Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
Brager was selected to be Citizens Business Bank’s chief executive in March 2020. CVB Financial Corp., the holding company for Citizens Business Bank, has more than $14 billion in assets and is one of the 10 largest bank holding companies headquartered in California. The bank has made money in 176 consecutive quarters and paid a cash dividend in 125 consecutive quarters. CVBF was ranked as Forbes’ Best Bank in America in 2020 and 2021.
BACKGROUND:
Brager is a 33-year veteran of the banking industry. His background spans management, commercial lending, business planning, sales and operations. Prior to his promotion to CEO, Brager served as executive vice president of Citizens Business Bank’s sales division. He joined CBB in 2003 as manager of the Fresno Business Financial Center before becoming senior vice president and regional manager of the Central Valley region. Brager earned a bachelor of science in business administration from Cal State Fresno. He also graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School, which partners with the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
