Wayne Ward — California Bank & Trust
Senior Vice President, Regional Manager
THE LATEST:
In January, Ward got a new boss when San Diego-based California Bank & Trust named Eric Ellingsen as chief executive. Ward, who oversees about 30% of the bank’s 85 branches in the state, has increased the bank’s community and civic engagement. CB&T’s initiatives include sponsoring quarterly economic forecasts from the UCLA Anderson School of Business and partnering with the Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment to serve as a new location for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for underserved communities.
BACKGROUND:
Ward has more than 30 years of leadership experience in driving revenue growth and profitability in both sales and commercial banking organizations. He manages business banking for CB&T throughout West Los Angeles, the South Bay and the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. Ward has led strategic planning and implementation, as well as organizational transformation, for commercial and mortgage bank startups and retail branch networks for commercial banks. He has been a member of the advisory board of Woodbury University’s School of Business in Burbank since 2018.
