Adam Burke — Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board
Chief Executive and President
THE LATEST:
As part of its Road to Recovery due to the pandemic, the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board suspended 2020 membership dues for its 1,100 members and extended the waiver through June 30. It also launched dineL.A. To Go, promoting delivery and takeout services at more than 800 local eateries. The organization conducted monthly webinars for members to keep L.A.’s tourism community informed of state and county safety guidelines and research and forecast data. And it launched a multi-month phased effort to inspire visitors to #StartYourComeback.
BACKGROUND:
Burke oversees global brand marketing and sales strategies for the convention board, which he joined in 2016 as chief operating officer. He has more than 25 years of travel and tourism industry experience. Burke previously was senior vice president of customer loyalty for Hilton Worldwide with global management responsibility for the Honors customer loyalty program. He also oversaw a network of more than 90 strategic partnerships in the travel, financial services and retail sectors. Burke began his professional career with Deloitte’s management consulting practice. He sits on numerous boards, such as for L.A. Works and the L.A. Area Chamber of Commerce.
