Christopher Martin — AC Martin Partners Inc.
Chairman
THE LATEST:
Martin’s architecture firm has been busy at Los Angeles International Airport over the past year, finalizing designs for the consolidated car rental facility and the terminal extensions that will connect to the automated people mover. All projects are under construction and set for completion by 2023. AC Martin is also finalizing designs for the West Edge project at Exposition Boulevard and Bundy Drive in West L.A. When complete, the project will have an eight-story, 200,000-square-foot office tower and a seven-story apartment building with 600 units. And in downtown, the firm is designing the Arts District Center, a 12-story mixed-use development that consists of a 129-unit condo tower, a 113-room boutique hotel and 70,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
BACKGROUND:
Christopher Martin is the third generation of the Martin family to helm the company since its founding in 1906; he joined the firm in 1970. AC Martin has designed a number of high-profile projects across Los Angeles, including the Wilshire Grand, a mixed-use project with a 73-story tower. Martin previously served on the board of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, including one term as chairman. He was a founding member of the Los Angeles Business Improvement District, the largest such district in the nation.
