Jill Wittnebel — Gensler
Managing Director, Los Angeles
THE LATEST:
Wittnebel, a principal and leader of Gensler’s brand design practice, was elevated to managing director of the San Francisco-based firm’s Los Angeles office in September, joining Michael White. Her promotion was part of a reorganization of the company’s Southern California leadership following the departure of Rob Jernigan as co-regional managing principal. John Adams, who had been the other co-regional managing principal, was joined recently by Elizabeth Brink in the regional role. On the project front, the Gensler co-designed $1.6 billion, 750,000-square-foot Midfield Satellite Concourse North terminal behind the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX recently opened. Work is also nearing completion on a Gensler-designed $300 million, 20-story office tower in Koreatown that will house the new headquarters for the L.A. County Department of Mental Health.
BACKGROUND:
Wittnebel joined Gensler’s Los Angeles office in 2017 as director of brand design. Prior to that, she held executive posts at Carbone Smolan Agency in New York and with Studio Red at New York-based Rockwell Group. She previously was a co-founder of W&CO design studio in New York. Wittnebel is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
