Antony Ressler — Ares Management Corp.
Co-Founder and Executive Chairman
THE LATEST:
Ressler leads Ares Management Corp., a global alternative asset manager with about $197 billion in assets under management. In February, Ares entered the SPAC space with Ares Acquisition Corp., which closed its IPO at $1 billion. Ressler also owns the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks as well as a stake in the Milwaukee Brewers. Last fall, Ressler and other Hawks owners committed $40 million to a long-term plan to provide financial, marketing and educational resources to Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurs throughout Atlanta.
BACKGROUND:
Ressler serves as chairman of Ares’ Executive Management Committee and the firm’s Management Committee. He is a member of the investment committees of certain funds managed by Ares Private Equity Group and Ares Real Estate Group. Ressler has an estimated net worth of $2.9 billion and ranked No. 23 on the Business Journal’s 2020 list of Wealthiest Angelenos.
