Behdad Eghbali — Clearlake Capital
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
THE LATEST:
Santa Monica-based private equity firm Clearlake Capital last fall announced six acquisitions, including a blockbuster deal to buy cloud-based business services company Endurance International Group Holdings Inc. in an all-cash deal valued at $3 billion, including debt. The buyout was among the largest U.S. take-private deals in 2020. Five other deals spanned a range of industries including construction, pet food, health care software, insurance software and hardware, and targeted companies in Texas, Massachusetts, New York and Georgia. In March, Clearlake and Insight Partners-backed Appriss Health acquired PatientPing Inc., a software solutions provider for patients with complex needs.
BACKGROUND:
Eghbali co-founded Clearlake Capital in 2006. The firm specializes in middle-market companies in software, the industrial sector and a range of consumer services. Clearlake’s total assets under management total roughly $30 billion. Previously, Eghbali worked in private equity at TPG Capital. He has a BS in business administration and management from UC Berkeley.
