THE LATEST: Settle manages Greycroft’s investments in a host of companies, including online dating app developer Bumble Inc., which completed an initial public offering in February. A month earlier, Settle co-founded special purpose acquisition company Powered Brands, a blank-check company seeking to raise up to $1.5 billion to create a conglomerate of beauty brands with a focus on sustainability.
BACKGROUND: Greycroft is a seed-to-growth venture capital firm with more than 300 investments under its belt. Founded in 2006, the firm has a portfolio of companies that includes investing platform Acorns Grow Inc., payments app Venmo and scooter startup Bird Rides Inc. Prior to starting Greycroft, Settle spent several years as a venture capitalist and adviser to Bay Area startups. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and an MBA from Harvard.
