Jeffrey Glassman — Covington Capital Management

THE LATEST:
At the end of 2020, Covington was managing more than $3 billion in assets for individuals, families, trusts and foundations. The downtown-based firm’s largest stock investments included Apple ($95 million); Amazon ($62.6 million); Microsoft ($67 million); and SJW Group ($132 million), according to a federal securities filing. Covington’s minimum market value to invest for clients is $2 million.
BACKGROUND:
Glassman, who has practiced law for more than 30 years, specializes in estate planning, probate and trust administration. He was a principal at Riordan & McKinzie for 18 years. Before joining Covington in 2007, Glassman was at Bingham Legg Advisers, a joint venture between law firm Bingham McCutchen and investment manager Legg Mason Inc. Glassman is chairman emeritus of the board of the Los Angeles Jewish Home. He also serves on the boards of the Mark Hughes Foundation, the Riordan Foundation, the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission and ArtCenter College of Design.
