Robert Sinnott — Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors

THE LATEST:
In January 2020, Kayne Private Energy Income Fund II raised $1.7 billion in capital commitments to buy and develop oil and gas properties across North America. The fund has now raised more than $3.6 billion in commitments since inception in 2014. The Kayne Anderson Renewable Infrastructure Fund, launched in November 2020, surpassed $50 million in assets in early 2021. Kayne Capital’s total assets invested in renewable energy &emdash; including wind farms, solar parks and energy storage &emdash; exceed $1.5 billion. Kayne has a total of $32 billion in assets under management.
BACKGROUND:
Sinnott shares a chairman position with Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors founder Richard Kayne. Sinnott joined Kayne Anderson in 1992 and helped grow the firm’s energy unit into an $18 billion portfolio. Previously, Sinnot worked for Citibank, United Energy Resources and Bank of America. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA in finance from the Graduate School of Business Administration at Harvard University.
