Ahmed Enany — Southern California Biomedical Council
Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
Enany’s biotech trade organization has focused over the past year on serving as a hub and resource center for local biomedical companies working on diagnostic, therapeutic and digital health projects to combat Covid-19. The council hosted a digital health conference in March, focusing on how Covid-19 has prompted an explosion of telehealth services and digital therapeutics. The organization also continued its efforts to promote local bioscience incubators and clusters.
BACKGROUND:
Enany joined the Southern California Biomedical Council in 2002 as its president and chief executive. The council, which was established in 1995 as part of the Rebuild LA initiative, works with biotech, medical tech, in-vitro diagnostic device and digital health businesses. The organization hosts programs to help local firms raise capital and find partners. SoCalBio also promotes technology transfer and workforce training. Enany is a strategic partner at the UCLA Business of Science Center.
