Douglas Hirsch — GoodRx Holdings Inc.
Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
Hirsch and Trevor Bezdek — his partner, co-founder and co-chief executive at GoodRx — had a banner year thanks to their company’s September initial public offering. GoodRx’s value surged more than 50% on its first day of trading, and Hirsch and Bezdek each landed about $200 million in IPO-related payouts. More payouts are due for the pair over the next three years. GoodRx also acquired telehealth company HeyDoctor last year and began incorporating the business, rebranded as GoodRx Care, into GoodRx’s operations.
BACKGROUND:
Hirsch founded GoodRx with Bezdek in 2011 to allow consumers to comparison price shop among pharmacies for the cheapest prescription drug prices. At the end of 2020, the company had 5.6 million subscribers and annual revenue of $550 million. Prior to GoodRx, Hirsch founded and served as chief executive of DailyStrength Inc., a social network focused on health and wellness. Previously, he was a product development executive at Facebook Inc. and an early employee at Yahoo.com Inc., where he developed GeoCities and Yahoo Groups. Hirsch holds a BA in political sciences from Tufts University.
