Kevin Manemann — Providence Southern California
Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
In January, Manemann was named chief executive of Providence Southern California. He oversees 13 hospitals, 90 clinics, nearly 5,200 physicians and 35,000 employees in Los Angeles and Orange counties and the desert portion of San Bernardino County. Manemann replaced Erik Wexler, who was promoted to president of Providence’s Southern Operations, which includes California, New Mexico and Texas. In March, the Providence Tarzana Foundation received a $50 million gift from glass industry billionaire Donald Friese and his wife, Andrea. This largest-ever gift to a Providence California hospital will go toward the expansion and renovation of Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center.
BACKGROUND:
Prior to his current role, Manemann was chief executive of Providence’s Physician Enterprise, leading more than 10,000 providers and 25,000 caregivers. The Providence system of hospitals is headquartered in Reston, Wash., and consists of 111,000 caregivers serving in 51 hospitals, 829 clinics and a comprehensive range of services across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
