Trevor Bezdek — GoodRx Holdings Inc.
Co-Founder and Co-Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
GoodRx went public in September, surging more than 50% in value on its first day of trading. The initial public offering raised a total of $1.14 billion, with $772 million going back to company coffers. Bezdek and his co-founder and Co-Chief Executive Douglas Hirsch each received roughly $200 million last year in IPO-related payouts, with more money from options to be realized over the next three years. Earlier last year, GoodRx began integrating recent telehealth acquisition HeyDoctor into its operations, rebranding it as GoodRx Care.
BACKGROUND:
Bezdek and Hirsch co-founded GoodRx in 2011 as an app to allow consumers to comparison price shop among pharmacies for the cheapest prescription drug prices. By the end of 2020, the company had grown to 5.6 million subscribers and posted revenue of $550 million for the year. Before co-founding GoodRx, Bezdek created Tryarc, a private information technology service provider with clients including Anthem/Blue Cross and Sony. He sold Tryarc to Tokyo-based Nippon Telegraph and Telephone in 2007. Previously, Bezdek co-founded Biowire, a community for biologists and other scientists to share insights on best practices and resources. He holds a BS in biological sciences from Stanford University.
