THE LATEST: Baradaran acts as outside general counsel to companies, funds, family offices and wealthy entrepreneurs in real estate, hospitality, sports, technology and entertainment. In February, he helped close a $93.8 million deal on a six-property portfolio for Gautier Land Co. Baradaran is also the special counsel negotiating a $4 billion luxury hotel and condominium development project for the city of Beverly Hills.
BACKGROUND: In 2014, Baradaran represented Shelly Sterling in the $2 billion sale of the Los Angeles Clippers to Steve Ballmer. His former projects also include a 3,000-acre hospitality, residential and entertainment master development project in the Dominican Republic. Other clients have included Costco Wholesale Corp., the Oakland Athletics, Major League Soccer’s San Jose Earthquakes and Maritz Wolff & Co. Baradaran was chosen as one of the Best Lawyers in America for real estate law from 2017 through 2021, and he was named to the Southern California Super Lawyers list from 2019-2021.
