THE LATEST: In June 2020, Russell was named head of Skadden’s Los Angeles office, one of the firm’s three main locations in the United States. He represents clients in commercial litigation disputes in federal and state courts. In July, Russell was chosen to lead the firm’s policy committee, which serves as Skadden’s executive management committee.
BACKGROUND: Russell has handled multiple high-profile sports and entertainment cases. His litigation experience ranges from jury trials and appellate arguments to mediation and arbitration. He has earned Attorney of the Year honors from California Lawyer. Russell also helps guide Skadden’s pro bono efforts. He holds an AB from Occidental College and a JD from Columbia University School of Law.
