Stephen Larson — Larson
Co-Founder and Partner
THE LATEST:
Larson was shortlisted for Benchmark Litigation’s 2021 Los Angeles Firm of the Year. In October, Larson was elected to a four-year term on the Inter-American Juridical Committee of the Organization of American States. In March, the firm signed the California Equal Pay Pledge, which challenges employers to conduct an annual companywide gender pay analysis, review hiring and promotion processes and procedures to reduce structural barriers, and promote best practices that will close the pay gap.
BACKGROUND:
Larson and Robert O’Brien co-founded Larson O’Brien in 2016. O’Brien departed in 2019, and in November the firm changed its name to Larson. The firm represents individuals, government agencies and businesses in trials, appeals, arbitrations and internal investigations around the world. Larson was a federal prosecutor from 1991 to 2000, serving as chief of the organized crime section of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles. He then spent nearly 10 years as a federal judge, serving as both a U.S. magistrate judge and a U.S. district judge, appointed by then-President George W. Bush.
