THE LATEST: Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, the largest firm in Los Angeles based on the number of attorneys in L.A. County, promoted 35 attorneys to partner in February. With the additions, 33% of the firm’s partners are now women. Lewis oversees more than 650 employees, including attorneys and hubs for the firm’s accounting, human resources and finance departments.
BACKGROUND: Lewis is a litigator whose practice focuses on products liability and international practices, with an emphasis on claims brought against manufacturers, distributors and retailers. That includes the areas of automotive, tire, pharmaceutical, food-borne illness, industrial and mechanical machinery, as well as catastrophic general liability cases. Lewis earned a BS from UCLA and a JD from Pepperdine University. He is a part of the International Association of Defense Counsel and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
