Anastasia Soare — Anastasia Beverly Hills Inc.
Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
Last summer Soare pledged $1 million toward the fight against racism, with $100,000 going to Black Lives Matter, the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund and other organizations. Another $450,000 is earmarked for grants to support and mentor eight Black-owned small businesses, which her team selected from more than 800 entries. She also hired former Johnny Was CFO Robert Fagan to serve as the brand’s chief financial officer. ABH revenue declined around 30% in 2020 from $290 million in 2019, according to Fitch Ratings, which expects “a modest rebound” for 2021.
BACKGROUND:
Soare started as an aesthetician and opened a brow studio in Beverly Hills in 1997. Soon after, and with celebrity clients in tow, the Romania native launched Anastasia Beverly Hills. The brand’s product line focuses on eyebrows and Soare’s patented Golden Ratio & Eyebrow Shaping Method, which is sold online and at department stores. In 2018, Soare sold a minority stake to Texas-based TPG Capital, which valued the company at about $2.5 billion.
