Jeff Babione — Lockheed Martin Corp.

THE LATEST:
In December, Babione’s division demonstrated a cloud-based distributed processing system aboard a U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane. The company said this system would enable in-flight software upgrades and enhance software capabilities available to pilots during missions.
BACKGROUND:
Babione has been at Lockheed Martin for more than 25 years and helps oversee Advanced Development Programs, also known as Skunk Works. Babione previously served as vice president and general manager of Lockheed’s F-35 program. He began his career in 1985 with Boeing Co. and joined Lockheed Martin in 1993 as a structure and systems engineer. Babione received his bachelor’s degree in aerospace and ocean engineering from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Washington, and an MBA from the University of Tennessee.
