Robyn Rihanna Fenty — Savage X Fenty
Chief Executive
THE LATEST:
The live music industry may have come to a standstill during the pandemic, but that didn’t slow Rihanna, whose direct-to-consumer lingerie brand has attracted both customers and investors. In February, El Segundo-based Savage X Fenty completed a $115 million Series B funding round led by L Catterton’s Growth Fund. The latest raise valued the lingerie brand at $1 billion.
BACKGROUND:
One of the most visible pop stars of the last decade, Rihanna is also the celebrity entrepreneur behind direct-to-consumer brands Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty. Largely due to the success of these businesses, Forbes last year named her the world’s wealthiest female musician. Born in Barbados, Rihanna now has multiple homes in Los Angeles and last year donated $2.1 million to Mayor Garcetti’s Fund for L.A. to aid victims of domestic violence during the pandemic.
