Roy Azevedo — Raytheon Technologies
Raytheon Intelligence and Space
THE LATEST:
Azevedo leads Raytheon’s Intelligence & Space division, which has 37,000 employees globally, including nearly 8,000 in Southern California. In December, Raytheon acquired satellite manufacturer and mission services provider Blue Canyon Technologies, which will report to Azevedo’s division.
BACKGROUND:
Following the 2020 merger between Raytheon Co. and United Technologies Corp., Azevedo was named president of Raytheon Intelligence & Space, one of four divisions of the combined company. Azevedo, who joined Raytheon in 1989, has previously been president of Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems unit and vice president and general manager of the company’s Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Systems unit. He attended Northeastern University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
