Steven Isakowitz — Aerospace Corp.

THE LATEST:
In addition to consulting on U.S. Air Force and Space Force projects, Aerospace is working with NASA on the space agency’s Artemis program and deep space exploration initiatives. The nonprofit is also expanding its geographical footprint. A new research and development center is under construction in Colorado Springs, and in January Aerospace established a wholly owned subsidiary in the U.K.
BACKGROUND:
Isakowitz has been president and chief executive of Aerospace Corp. since 2016. The nonprofit corporation is a federally funded research and development center for the U.S. Air Force and has provided engineering and analysis services to the Department of Defense for more than 50 years. Prior to joining Aerospace Corp., Isakowitz served as president of Virgin Galactic and as chief financial officer for the Department of Energy. A graduate of MIT, he serves on advisory boards at both MIT and Cal State Long Beach.
