THE LATEST: ICM Partners restructured its senior management team in February. Like other major talent agencies in Hollywood, ICM reached agreement with the Writer’s Guild of America on a new deal that helped resolve an extended stretch of labor unrest in the industry. The agency, which employs 500, laid off dozens of staff members due to the pandemic. In early May, ICM was roiled by media reports of harassment and misconduct toward women and people of color. In October, Silbermann and the agency’s senior political strategist Hannah Linkenhoker launched a political consulting and social impact company called Vivify.
BACKGROUND: Silbermann joined ICM Partners as co-president in 2007 following the agency’s purchase of TV production company and agency Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann, where he packaged series such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Criminal Minds.” Silbermann graduated from UC Berkeley. He is a member of the boards of the American Film Institute and the Entertainment Industry Foundation.
