Tim Leiweke — Oak View Group

THE LATEST:
In February, Oak View Group released plans for its $250 million sports and entertainment arena in the Coachella Valley. The company aims to finish the arena, which will include 20 suites, four clubs and will seat up to 11,600 for concerts, in 18 months. Oak View Group is also instrumental in the construction of the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, home to the newly formed National Hockey League team the Seattle Kraken, which is owned by Lieweke’s brother, Tod.
BACKGROUND:
Leiweke co-founded Oak View Group in 2015 with Azoff Co. Chairman Irving Azoff. Oak View is a development and investment company for sports and entertainment events. In 1996, Leiweke was named president of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings. He became chief executive of the team’s parent company, Anschutz Entertainment Group, in 1996. Under Leiweke, AEG built a portfolio of arenas, theaters, stadiums and clubs around the world, including L.A. Live.
