Clare De Briere — Skanska
Executive Vice President
THE LATEST:
De Briere left longtime home Ratkovich Co. after more than 25 years to unwind and travel. But she came out of retirement soon after to head Skanska’s commercial development division in L.A. Under De Briere’s guidance, Skanska is working on land acquisitions, development and design for its projects and tenant leasing. In 2019, she acquired the group’s first commercial site in Los Angeles at 9000 Wilshire Blvd. The property will become a 46,000-square-foot office building. Skanska also acquired a property in the Arts District.
BACKGROUND:
Prior to Skanska, De Briere rose to executive vice president and chief operating officer positions at Ratkovich Co., where she led development of The Hercules Campus &emdash; the conversion of Howard Hughes’ aircraft facilities into creative office space in Playa Vista. The property’s tenants now include Google and 72andSunny. She also led development of the Alhambra, a 900,000-square-foot community in Alhambra.
