THE LATEST: Worthe’s real estate company has more than 7 million square feet of properties in L.A. Together with Blackstone Group Inc., Worthe is developing an office tower near the Warner Bros. studio complex in Burbank that is expected to cover more than 500,000 square feet. Worthe is also working on Warner Bros.’ Second Century Project, an 800,000-square-foot office complex in Burbank.
BACKGROUND: Worthe runs Santa Monica-based Worthe Real Estate Group. The company specializes in developing and refurbishing office properties in L.A. and has extensive assets in markets that are hubs for media and entertainment tenants. Its tenants include ABC, Blizzard Entertainment and Comcast NBCUniversal. Worthe serves as chairman of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
