THE LATEST: Last year, Kilroy Realty Corp. completed construction at On Vine, a Hollywood office complex leased to Netflix Inc. The campus is part of a larger development that includes multifamily housing. Other big Kilroy projects around L.A. include Columbia Square, a 737,000-square-foot, six-building project in development in Hollywood with office and residential components, and 909 and 999 N. Pacific Coast Highway in El Segundo, a 372,000-square-foot office property originally built in 2002.
BACKGROUND: In recent years Kilroy’s Sawtelle-based firm has expanded into other West Coast markets with a focus on LEED-certified properties. Kilroy, a veteran of more than 50 years in real estate, has been chairman of Kilroy Realty since 2013. Prior to that, he served in a variety of leadership roles at KRC and at its predecessor, Kilroy Industries.
