THE LATEST:
In the last year, MJW Investments has expanded its co-general partner equity business and direct investments to more than $150 million worth of multifamily and student housing deals. The company was No. 15 on the Business Journal’s most recent list of top Commercial Real Estate Developers with 3.8 million square feet and 54 projects completed in L.A. since 2010.
BACKGROUND:
Weinstein founded MJW Investments in 1983. To date, the company has acquired more than $1 billion worth of real estate. It has student housing at Michigan State, Washington State, Brigham Young University, UC Santa Barbara, University of Oregon, Arizona State and Texas Tech. Prior to founding the company, Weinstein was an attorney and is also involved with charities including a three-year term as chairman of the Jewish Federation’s Real Estate and Construction Division and is involved with the Young Presidents Organization.
