THE LATEST: Under Umansky’s leadership, The Agency has grown to 39 offices and more than 700 agents in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. The company added three new locations in the first quarter of 2021, in New Canaan, Conn., Studio City and Oakville. In 2020, Umansky was one of L.A.’s top agents with $322 million in sales in L.A. County. His noteworthy transactions included 7 Country Oak Lane, a record-breaking sale in Northern California.
BACKGROUND: Umansky is the co-founder and chief executive of The Agency, which was created in 2011. It is now a billion-dollar brokerage. He has done nearly $4 billion in career sales and was involved in noteworthy sales like the Playboy Mansion, the first home in L.A. to sell for more than $100 million.
