THE LATEST: Weintraub Real Estate Group has several projects under construction, including the Cambria Hotel in Calabasas, the Malibu Surf Club, and Equinox and Erewhon at the Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, as well as additional retail and high-end residential and hospitality developments.
BACKGROUND: Weintraub has acquired, developed or entitled more than $1 billion worth of properties across Southern California over the last 30 years. Some of his most noteworthy developments include the Malibu Lumber Yard, a luxury shopping center in a former lumber yard; the Californian on Wilshire in Westwood; and St. Vibiana. Weintraub’s civic involvements include working with the Valley Community Clinic, the Los Angeles River Revitalization Corp., the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
