Brendan Wallace — Fifth Wall

THE LATEST:
Fifth Wall raised a $100 million fund in 2020 to invest in retail brands looking to grow their brick-and-mortar business. In February, the firm raised $345 million for a special purpose acquisition vehicle to take a private company public. Meanwhile, one of the firm’s portfolio companies, Hippo Enterprises Inc., announced in March that it would go public via a SPAC deal that values the home insurance startup at $5 billion.
BACKGROUND:
Wallace co-founded Fifth Wall with Brad Greiwe in 2016. Fifth Wall invests in real estate technologies and tech companies. The firm manages more than $1 billion in assets. Previously, Wallace co-founded workforce optimization data and analytics firm Identified and Latin American ride-sharing service Cabify. As an angel investor, Wallace has purchased stakes in Lyft Inc., Dollar Shave Club Inc., Philz Coffee Inc., and other companies. He received a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and an MBA from Stanford.
